I posted another message into "The next step after ODP?" thread on the Open Directory (http://dmoz.org/forum/threaddisplay.cgi?t=Forum3/HTML/000031.html; here is a local readable for all copy, which is most probably not up to date) together with making public who I am in my profile as ODP editor (http://dmoz.org/profiles/beetle.html).

Shortly after that I have been terminated as an ODP editor with the argument that my first post in the above thread did not make it clear that the author of the post and and the author of this site is the same person.

Following a suggestion from an ODP editor in that thread on the ODP forum, I submitted the Open GRiD site link to two categories of the Open Directory; the links have been promptly included: http://directorysearch.mozilla.org/cgi-bin/search?search=%22Open+GRiD%22

I started a thread called "The next step after ODP?" in the "ODP Culture" forum of the Open Directory (See http://dmoz.org/forum/threaddisplay.cgi?t=Forum3/HTML/000031.html, but you have to be an ODP editor to access that discussion; here is a local readable for all copy, which is most probably not up to date.)
Until Feb. 15th regular ODP editors could not see that this thread has been started by the author of this site (that includes three messages to the thread and about 30 visitors to this site). They could not do it because my profile as an ODP editor did not say who "beetle" is and my post looked like a post not from the author of the site.
The reason for doing so was *not to bias* the first impression of editors by the fact that the post is made by the author of the site. (ODP editor "beetle" did not have any reputation at that time to influence the importance of the post.)
I agree that it was not quite fair towards other ODP editors to post it without indicating my authorship. Also when making that post, I knew that soon I would have to disclose who "beetle" is (which I did two days later just before being terminated as an ODP editor.)

Changes and Revisions of the Open GRiD Project Site

To Events.

Mar. 1, 2000

New redesigned code distribution is available from the Downloading Page.
Research papers providing updated and more rigorous view of the project are available from the Research Papers Page.
Some modifications were done to various documents of the site to reflect the above.

Aug. 30, 1999

Version 0.1.2 of the proxy is available from the Downloading Page (with precompiled binaries).

Jul. 25, 1999

The Downloading Page was redone.
New version of the proxy is available (the code can be browsed online).

June. 28, 1999

Minor modifications.

Jun. 19, 1999

Sections "Direct Opinion Link" and "Guide on When to Provide Which Opinions" added to the architecture proposal.
Some other changes in the architecture proposal.

Jun. 18, 1999

Section "What *You* Can Do Now" was upgraded.
The "Things to be Done" section of the architecture proposal now has implementation mini-projects to be done.
The "General Client Proxy Functionality" section was added to the architecture proposal.
The "Quick evidence that the Open GRiD project is worth knowing about" page has been added.
Beginning of the main document describing the project has been improved a bit.
Some minor changes in different pages of the site.

Major changes to The Open GRiD Project Architecture Proposal were made.
Some changes to the front page of the project, the main document describing the project, and the FAQ page.
Software Download Page has been added.

The first draft of The Open GRiD Project Architecture Proposal is available.
Mailing lists for the project have been established.
The license has changed a bit to allow for client software on not GPL'ed platforms.
Some new related articles were added.
