CSE 659 (Section 1) Seminar on Wireless Computing
Description
This is a one-credit seminar course on mobile and wireless computing.
In this seminar, we will study the technologies, the protocols,
the distributed systems support in the area of wireless networking.
Since most of the people in the department don't have any experience
in this area, this seminar will be purely based on paper reading.
Therefore, students who take this seminar probably have to dedicate
a little more time to figure out what the papers say before they present
the papers. In particular, students are required to prepare a
handout of at least one page for class distribution.
In this seminar, we will discuss various systems technologies to support
mobile computing, including agents and power-efficient software.
I will talk about the technologies and the important issues
in the first class on 9/6/95. The set of specific topics to be discussed
are listed below.
As usual, auditors are NOT welcome.
We meet from 5 to 6:30 PM in the conference room every Wednesday.
